The only graphics intensive thing I can see myself doing is watching HD videos. It says that's the maximum it can handle, does that mean it will stutter a lot? I got the Macbook over the pro since I don't ever play games on my computer (yay, Wii!), and mostly just browse the web, write papers, work with Matlab, sometimes code. My only concern is if it will be able to power it *well* or not. The specs for the Macbook say it can drive up to 1920x1200, so I'm looking into either a 23" Apple Cinema Display or 24" Dell 2307WFP (leaning towards the latter). Since most of the time I use the laptop at my desk I would like to get a monitor for it. I'm woefully behind in all the terms and don't really know what parts of the computer are responsible exactly for what so please bear with me if I spout nonsense.Īnyway, I just got a new Macbook with a Core 2 Duo Intel processor at 2.0GHz w/ 2GB of RAM and its integrated GMA 950 graphics chip.
